Rewa Provincial Holdings Company Ltd Wins Prestigious “Excellence in Yasana Aspiration Award” at the 2025 Prime Minister’s International Business Awards
SUVA, FIJI – December 1, 2025 – Rewa Provincial Holdings Company Limited (RPHCL), the commercial investment arm of the people of Rewa, is proud to announce it has been awarded the Excellence in Yasana (Provincial) Aspiration Award at the 2025 Prime Minister’s International Business Awards, held on November 29, 2025.
This accolade recognizes RPHCL as the premier provincial company in Fiji, acknowledging its demonstrated sustainable strategy, elevated investment portfolio, and successful diversification that directly impacts community economic and social development.
A Journey of Resilience and Growth: Established in 1992 to serve the commercial interests of the Vanua of Rewa, RPHCL began with a singular focus on property management, anchored by its primary asset, the ten-storey Ro Lalabalavu House in Suva. Over the last three decades, the company has navigated economic fluctuations and regulatory changes to emerge as a pillar of indigenous business success.
From its humble beginnings, the company has undergone a significant transformation. Today, the company boasts total assets valued at $23.1 million.
Strategic Leadership and Diversification: This award is a testament to the tireless efforts of the Board of Directors and the Management team, who have steered the company toward diversification beyond traditional property management.
Key strategic achievements contributing to this recognition include:
- Property Development: The acquisition of prime freehold land at Brewster Street, Toorak, for a luxury apartment complex, with construction slated to begin in early 2026.
- Asset Optimisation: The successful negotiation of lease renewals and major refurbishments of Ro Lalabalavu House to ensure sustainable revenue streams.
- Future Expansion: Feasibility studies for the development of the 7.47-acre Koroibici land in Lokia for mixed-use commercial and community purposes.
- Strategic Investment: Recognition as a Growth Investor by Fijian Holdings Limited (FHL) in 2024 for increasing equity stakes in national conglomerates.
A Blueprint for Provincial Success: RPHCL views this award not just as a victory for Rewa, but as a proof of concept for the iTaukei business community. The company’s trajectory offers a valuable learning opportunity for other Provincial companies: success is born from good governance, prudent financial management, and strong, unified leadership.
“Our journey proves that when a provincial company adheres strictly to the Companies Act, implements robust internal controls, and separates traditional obligations from commercial realities, sustainable growth is inevitable,” said Board Chairman, Ro Nauludole Mataitini. “We have focused on our core values of Integrity, Accountability, and Excellence, ensuring that every investment decision maximizes returns for our shareholders.”
Looking Ahead: Guided by its 2024-2026 Strategic Plan, RPHCL is poised for further expansion. The company is ready to execute its ambitious development projects while maintaining consistent dividend payouts to the people of Rewa.
The Board and Management dedicate this award to the shareholders and the Vanua of Rewa for their unwavering trust and support.
